The Indian Army has introduced a 24/7 helpline service for soldiers and veterans, following a recent custodial assault on army officer and his fiancee in Odisa.The helpline, 155306, aims to offer immediate support in cases of emergency or assault.
The helpline will be staffed by trained Military Police personnel, including both men and women. Calls to the helpline will be recorded, allowing for efficient follow-up in each case. Through integrated coordination with provost units and civil authorities, the system will enable swift responses across the country.
